| With the configuration of the new NT
software offering in the labs we needed to find a way to quickly inform users of changes
and usage guidelines in the labs. To do this we have designed a small web browser that
floats on the screen. The first iteration of this solution has limited functionality. It
serves the purpose of the original intent but since then we have expanded our ideas of
what we can and would like to do with it. The latest release of the lab banner includes
a BACK button and a desktop blanker. The BACK button will enhance the viewing of published
links. The desktop blanker will make the banner appear more like a screen saver and
prevent image burn on the monitor. |
