Food, drink, & tobacco policy
for the University Computing Labs

Computing and Network Services' goal is to provide a clean, dependable and safe computing environment for its users. We need your assistance to make this goal possible. Please observe the "No Food, Drink or Tobacco" rule in all the University Computing Labs. Recognize that the cleaning staff need your cooperation in doing their job. Clean your work space before you leave.

Failure to follow the "No Food, Drink or Tobacco" rule will result in loss of access to CNS equipment. The first violation of this policy will result in the suspension of all user IDs on CNS machines for one week. Subsequent violations will result in the suspension of user IDs on all CNS equipment for an extended period.

CNS equipment includes all terminals, PCs, and Sun workstations in the labs, as well as use of KSUVM, Unix hosts, modems and terminal servers.

A misinterpretation of this policy on your part does not constitute an excuse for improper action. If you have questions regarding this policy, send e-mail to labs@ksu.edu.
