Lab reservation policy |
| Of the five University Computing Labs on
campus, one lab (Nichols 21) is reserved during the day for instructional support for
Computing and Information Science classes. In the past the labs have been available for ad hoc reservations for student orientations or special projects, primarily at the beginning of the semester. This practice is being discontinued. The use of the labs has increased to a point where it is difficult to use them in this manner without disrupting the original intent of the lab, which is to provide a work place for the students. Individuals requiring access to a lab for instructional purposes are encouraged to seek access to departmental resources first. Computing and Network Services is working on trying to determine what alternative resources might be available. We hope that some large classes will be able to use a technology classroom in the evening; smaller classes may be able to arrange for use of a small lab with ITAC; call their reception desk at 532-4918. |
